Today I went to one of my good friends Lacrosse games. Ben opened the game up with a goal and fired his team up to beat Milton High School's Rival, Roswell High School. He is an upcoming freshman showing alot of potential and a great passion for the game! He was not intimidated at all and showed a fierce confidence out on the field!! It was a great game!

Fishing

Today I went fishing with some of my friends. It is so weird how i spend so much money on all these fancy lures and jigs, when live bait seems to work better than any of that. During our fishing adventure, I caught 6 bass and 1 brem. My other friends caught a total of 7 fish. It was a great day for fishing and it was alot of fun!  The top two pictures are me with a couple of my fish!

Worker Stuck in a Trench!

Today in my hood, there was a dude stuck in a trench for 2 and a half hours! It took a team of 2 helicopters and 73 emergency vehicles to get him out. Among the vehicles there was Search and Rescue, Ambulences, Fire Trucks, Police, Special ops teams and so many other people! I was the fist photojournalist on the scene! I actually was interviewed and put on the news! it was so crazy! My heart goes out to the man in the trench as well as those who fought to rescue him!

Swimming with Manatees

When I was at the beach for Spring Break, there were 3 manatee swimming in the water! We were able to get about 2 feet from them. It was too cool to be able to be within arms length of such awesome animals! I put a little footage together of them swimming. It was awesome! Go down to the video bar and watch!!!!

Gone Fishin!

While I was in Naples, I had the chance to go down to the Pier! EVERYONE one the Pier was fishing! It was quite the sight! All the people were pushing carts full of rods, fish, and tackle boxes! There were so many interesting people on the Pier. I love fishing, so watching a mass of people fishing, while being able to take pictures was awesome! We even saw some dolphins! The Pier is a historical landmark in Naples. We saw one kid swim 200 yards into the ocean and climb up on a No- Wake sign! Craziness!

Naples Sunset!

I was down in Naples, FL this past week with my girlfriend and her family and it was a blast! I saw one of the coolest sunsets! It was a perfect sunset. There was a boat that crossed the horizon right as the sun was setting. It could not have been placed any better! The sun was so bright when it was setting. The glare off the ocean was so intense and I had to squint to see the sun, but it was an incredible sight! The sun changed from a light orange to a deep red, something I have never seen before. Once the sun dipped below the horizon, a man hit a gong to signal the sunset. It was stinkin awesome!

Spring Storms!

One of the best things to me about spring is the insane storms! In the midst of tornado season, the possibility to see storms, normal or severe is always on the up! I love being able to go out and shoot in a storm. People think i am insane for chasing storms. Just a few weeks ago, my dad, brother, and I had the awesome chance to go and chase! there were some super-cells with Doppler indicated tornados 2 miles north of my house and when we heard the warnings, we headed for the car and into the storm! It's alot different chasing in GA. On t.v. you can see for miles and miles and you can clearly see the tornado. A few weeks ago when we were chasing, we could not tell where the funnel was. We tuned into the radio and quickly discovered we were on the south end of the funnel! CRAZY!

The Power of Nature!!!!

Nature is incredible to me. I think the fact that our Earth rotates and knows it's orbit is amazing. A few months ago, we had a total lunar eclipse. I did some sequence shots an put them all together and got a cool time lapse picture! It's so crazy that the moon can go through phases, and go from white to a deep crimson red and we can all sit back and enjoy the beauty and power of nature.

Legacy Lacrosse Cup

Last weekend at Milton High School, I was fortunate enough to take place in an incredible event, The Legacy Lacrosse Cup. I was asked to be the photographer at this event. This cup was held in honor of Bo and Lauren Jackson's son, Parker Jackson. Parker, a good friend of mine, was killed in a car accident in 2006.  Parker was a star player on the varsity lacrosse team. The Jackson family has been very close to my family for a long time now. Being able to be on the team that helped execute this amazing event was trulyinspiring. The Jackson's tenacity and courage in the wake of losing a son, and a brother to Emily and Ben, is how every situation should be handled, with unshaken faithfulness and perseverance. When faced with adversity, we all have choices to make, and those choices will shape and carve who we are, influence who want to be. The Legacy Lacrosse Cup is about his life and the things he loved – lacrosse, friendship and faith. The idea came from Parker's ability to make fast friends wherever he went. When he died, the Jackson's searched for a way to keep his legacy alive. They figured the best way was to pull kids together in a fun, athletic atmosphere and let friendship flourish.Turning the loss into something positive and fun for the more than 300 players involved is something the Jacksons say Parker would have wanted. The cup had a festival atmosphere, with top southeastern teams.

Kyle Harrison, who plays for the LA Riptide, attended the tournament to watch some incredible lacrosse and to put on a shooting demonstration. Kyle is an incredible player with an even more amazing heart. Of all the things Kyle could have done this weekend, he chose to spend it in Alpharetta, GA of all places and share the weekend with people who love Parker and love lacrosse. Parker was no regular kid, he was a warrior. His faith alone showed that he was a man of The Lord. He was  a respected natural leader with undaunted courage and a contagious smile. He was passionate about everything he did and loved everyone he met. He was a genuine kid that was never judgemental toward anyone. He respected everyone and everything. I was blessed to know Parker. The Jackson's are an incredible family with an undaunted faith and an amazing family bond. Come hell or high water, the Jackson's know where they can place their faith, In the risen son, Jesus Christ, and I think that is a true testament of how amazing our God is. The Jackson's have unshakeable fortitude and courage and are symbolic of overcoming adversity. While the Legacy Cup was held in memory of Parker, it was more of a celebration of the legacy he has left for all of us to see. If you have 5 minutes, please go to www.legacylacrossecup.com and read about the man that Parker was and you will see why he is so loved.

The other day, I saw Keith Urban walking around in downtown Alpharetta! I have no idea if he and Nicole were taking a vacation from Nashville or he was just enjoying the weather! It looks like he had just come from starbucks! It was so cool to see such a big time star! He was nice enough to stop for a picture! Sweet!!!!
